Job Description
Duties :
Finance, Auditing and Taxation firm based in Hillcrest is looking for an Auditor, to join their team.
Preparation and review of VAT and employee cost reconciliations for IT14SD purposes
Stock count verifications
Gauging financial risk within the establishment
Maintaining spreadsheets by collating data, checking for accuracy, and analysing results
Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
Keeping up with legal requirements and applicable changes to local laws that apply to the establishment
Reviewing taxpayer accounts to determine tax liability
Examining records to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Preparing annual reports, statements, and financial records
Recommending system controls and improvements to increase reliability and data integrity
Assessing accounting systems for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with proper accounting procedures
Inspecting and reconciling account books for accuracy
Auditor Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
Ability to be able to work independently as well as a team player in order to meet department goals
Need to have the ability to use your own initiative to tackle any problems and see them through to completion
Strong time management skills and ability to handle pressure
Need to be attention to detail driven
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong Technical skills
BCom / BCompt in accounting with completed or partially completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
