Electrical Design Engineer: Solar/ Renewable Energy
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- – Design and engineer electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage
- – Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure successful completion of projects
- – Conduct site visits to assess electrical requirements and develop plans for equipment layout and construction
- – Utilize software programs such as AutoCAD, for design and modelling purposes
- – Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards
- – Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for clients and internal use
- – Support procurement activities by identifying and evaluating potential equipment options and suppliers
Desired Experience & Qualification
- – Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
- – Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the renewable energy sector
- – Proficiency with AutoCAD,, and other relevant software programs
- – Experience in problem-solving, and analyzing complex engineering data
- – Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- – Ability to adapt to changes and a fast-paced work environment
- – Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as needed
Package & Remuneration
R360 000 CTC – R720 000 CTC per annum
