Senior Mechanical Engineer (Plant Manufacturing Environment)

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Plan and direct all activities concerned with the design, construction, performance and maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection of equipment to world class principles.
Prepare CAPEX applications for improvement projects.
Manage and forecast maintenance and CAPEX budgets.
Do fault finding and root cause analysis.
Develop standard operating procedures.
Make sure that good manufacturing practices is followed on handling all materials.
Expand world class manufacturing to all parts of the factory.
Manage performance while training and developing staff.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc)
Strong practical approach.
8-10 years experience in maintenance and projects within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Must have experience in heavy & light, high & low speed, rotating and stationary equipment.\
Knowledge of OHS & BCEA
