Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of the People strategy and plan.

  • • Develop, implement, monitor and review HR Policies and Procedures as required.
  • • Coordinate the process of the review and updating of Job Profiles with line management.
  • • Research and advise line management on industry best practice policy and procedure standards and measures.
  • • Advise and oversee effective Change Management processes by line management as required.
  • • Identify and address culture related trends from employee climate assessments and similar initiatives.
  • • Support the implementation of HR systems and structures that ensure delivery in line with the legislative framework and organisational objectives.
  • • Execute on the approved service standards applicable to the Human Resources department that foster a customer centric environment.
  • • Implement a fit-for-purpose talent management agenda that enables high quality staff acquisitions, improved retention of staff, and contributes towards reinforcing the desired culture.
  • • Implement quality HR support services that span across the employee lifecycle from selection to off-boarding.
  • • Develop relevant training programme materials, as well as performance management programmes to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities and can execute them effectively.
  • • Implement customised HR initiatives and programmes aimed at optimising the human capital value-add of leaders and staff.
  • • Implement an approved compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
  • • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution as per company policy and procedure.
  • • Implement a comprehensive Transformation strategy and plan that aligns with the overall strategic objectives of the business and enables the achievement of the desired BBB-EE level

Desired Experience & Qualification

Relevant Diploma in Human Resources Management, Organisational Development, Labour Relations or a related field. NQF 6
Relevant Graduate Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is desirable
5 Years relevant Generalist / Administrator experience in HR is required.
Member of a professional body such as SABPP or HPCSA is advantageous
Proficiency in the relevant Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of a broad range of human resource practices including compensation, performance management, recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, etc.
Knowledge of all relevant HR and Labour Relations legislation and frameworks such as BCEA, EEA, LRA etc.
Local travel within South Africa from time to time as required by the job.
OWN VEHICLE & VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
MUST BE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE

Package & Remuneration

  • Salary: R30K – R38K (depending on experience)
  • Mobile phone allowance
  • Compensation for travel
  • Contract: 12 months
  • Location: Sandton, with travelling as needed.
  • On site (in office) when not travelling
