Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Provide tax advice to clients on a range of tax issues, including income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and other tax matters
– Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities
– Prepare and review tax returns, tax calculations, and tax provisions
– Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and regulations
– Assist with tax audits and investigations
– Communicate with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders regarding tax matters
– Train and mentor junior staff members on tax-related matters
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) designation preferred
– 5+ years of experience in tax advisory and compliance work
– Strong understanding of South African tax laws and regulations
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficiency in MS Office and tax software
