Duties & Responsibilities :

Workshop Manager – West Coast (Western Cape)

The Workshop Manager will oversee all aspects of the car service station’s operations, including the supervision of employee scheduling and performance, procurement and receiving, and the day-to-day tasks related to automobile fueling, maintenance, and repair services. Requirements:
Matric or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a car service station is required, with three or more years of experience being preferred.
Completion of a mechanic training program accredited by a relevant institution (such as a TVET College or equivalent) is desired.
Demonstrated excellent managerial and leadership skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in preparing operating reports and reconciling sales records.
Extensive knowledge of automobile repair, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities:

Recruit and train employees.
Supervise the day-to-day workflow and assignments of service staff.
Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Manage discipline and employee terminations as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Oversee and, when necessary, perform customer service functions, including pumping gasoline, checking fluid levels, washing windshields, and scheduled maintenance.
Supervise and, when necessary, assist with administrative services related to automobile repairs. Tasks may include preparing cost estimates for customers, notifying customers of preventive and scheduled maintenance, and making repairs within one’s skill level.
Reconcile operating accounts and records, including reconciling sales with cash and receipts.
Draft and maintain operating reports as requested by the district manager.
Monitor inventory and order supplies, tools, and gasoline for the station.
Schedule and arrange necessary maintenance for the service station.
Create promotional materials and advertisements.
Ensure that the service station is neat, clean, and safe.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

R 35 000.00 – Monthly plus 50% Medical Aid, Provident Fund
