I Applied on Time and Met the Entry Requirements with My Grade 11 Results, but Now My Grade 12 Results Don’t Meet Them. What Should I Do?
The Central Application Clearing House (CACH) is a system designed to assist Grade 12 learners who are seeking placement at higher education institutions like universities, universities of technology, or TVET colleges at the beginning of the year. Here’s how it works:
Learners Sign Up:
If you have your Grade 12 results and are looking for placement, you can sign up on the CACH system.
Database for Placement:
Your information is made available to institutions and Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), who use it to find students who meet their criteria. If a suitable spot is available, the institution will contact you directly if you accept the offer on the CACH system.
If you already know what you want to study, it is advisable to sign up directly on CACH. If you are unsure, you can get assistance from the National Career Development Services (CDS) to help guide you in choosing a career or a suitable program.
Contact Career Development Services (CDS) for Assistance:
Helpline: Call 086 999 0123 for career advice.
SMS: Send a “please call me” to 072 204 5056.
You can also contact the CACH call centre and request to be redirected to the CDS for help.
