Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, delivery receipts, and contracts.
Assist in identifying potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and placing purchase orders.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and international regulations related to procurement.
Resolve any purchasing discrepancies and work closely with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise.
Assist in inventory management and tracking of supplies to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
Provide support to the procurement team in managing the sourcing process and analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare reports on procurement activities and trends for management review.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a procurement clerk in the mining industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of mining industry regulations and practices is a plus.
A diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
