Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and fluid changes
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site repairs to minimize downtime
Document all maintenance and repair work in detail for record-keeping purposes
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate or Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Trade Certificate
Grade 12
N2 / N3 Certificate
5 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a mining environment
Driver’s License is required

Benefits:

Salary: R400k – R500k
