Shaft Rigger

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Rigging and moving materials, equipment, and machinery in underground mine shafts
Safely attaching and detaching loads using appropriate rigging equipment
Inspecting rigging equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition
Communicating effectively with team members and following safety protocols
Operating hoists, cranes, and other lifting equipment as needed
Assisting with maintenance and repairs of rigging equipment

Requirements:

Grade 12
A Valid Rigger Trade Certificate
5 years experience as a Rigger in a Shaft and Winder environment
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Benefits

Salary: R400k – R600k
