Duties & Responsibilities

This Rentals Superintendent role is based in Kuilsriver, Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:
Manage the Rentals maintenance department in alignment with branch objectives.
Coordinate logistics to ensure efficient operations.
Budget and Material Management:
Take charge of budget spend, material ordering, and tool allocations.
Ensure that refurbishments are within budget parameters.

Refurbishment Planning:

Plan and execute the refurbishment plan within a two-week window, regularly circulating updates.
Coordinate long-term/project requirements and communicate agreed refurbishment plans.
Building Handovers and Operational Requirements:
Ensure timely handovers of all buildings to the Fleet Controller in the correct condition.
Record, monitor, and process operational requirements according to the refurbishment plan.
Continuous Improvement and Warranty Execution:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your area of responsibility.
Plan, communicate, and execute the warranty plan within agreed time and cost objectives.
Assets, Stock, and Integrity:
Control the stores function to minimize stock levels while ensuring an uninterrupted supply.
Manage and report on redundant stock, ensuring corrective action is taken.
Conduct daily, monthly, and quarterly stock counts and reporting.
Oversee the grading of all returns and update the ERP system accordingly.

Administration:

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Facilitate staff training and development.

Qualification and Experience needed:

Degree in Finance
3 years management experience
