Duties & Responsibilities

A JSE listed company is currently seeking a Group Debtors Manager to join their finance team in Sandton for 6 months (this role can go permanent). You will be responsible for strategic planning and managing the debtor’s team, which provides services across the group.

Duties:

Participate in meetings and provide reports of debtor’s management issues and resolutions.
Monitor spending for adherence to budget – recommend variances as necessary.
Weekly reporting to management.
Assist with account queries, including key customer visits.
Follow procedures on accounts prepared for handover to pre-legal and monitor the progress.
Understand specific business needs and proactively propose solutions.
Monitor the ageing of the debtor’s book and evaluate for accuracy and collectability.
Follow up with the credit controllers on overdue debtors queries and letter of demands.
Manage, document, verify, and enforce all internal and external policies and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

BCom / Diploma in Finance (required).
7 – 10 years’ experience required in a similar role (NON-negotiable!).
Management experience for at least 3 – 5 years.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Has worked in a group environment before.
