Company and Job Description:

This dynamic and innovative company in the financial services space, is looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
Execute and supervise transaction processing and capturing.
Oversee cashbook to trial balance processing, reconciliation, and review.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including drafting and reviewing management accounts.
Prepare and review annual financial statements.
Prepare, review, and submit income tax and VAT returns.
Financial Analysis and Forecasting:
Conduct forecasting and budgeting for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
Analyze actuals against the budget to identify variance root causes.
Perform business driver analysis.
Control Environment and Compliance:
Identify and manage financial and operational risks.
Design and implement financial and operational controls.
Apply regulations and laws to establish a composite regulatory framework.
Engage with auditors and manage audits.
Commercial Acumen and Understanding:
Review investment business cases and commercial propositions.
Validate financial forecasts against provided evaluation frameworks.
System Management:
Manage financial software and hardware service providers.
Initiate and manage development and change management initiatives.
Project Management:
Manage complex projects involving multiple parties and platforms.
Maintain an organized and methodical approach.
Provide cross-discipline training and functional experience.

Qualifications:

Applicable commercial degrees, such as B.Com.
Chartered Accountant.
Experience:
Completed articles.
3-5 years of experience in senior financial management, with experience in supervising cross-discipline teams.
3-5 years of experience in executive-level engagement and stakeholder management.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

CA(SA) Accreditation is essential
5+ years management experience
8 to 10 years post article experience
Financial services, banking or similar experience is essential
