Duties & Responsibilities

My client is a dynamic and rapidly growing company committed to excellence and innovation. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is a 4 month contract role based in Nigel.

Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Budgeting:
Collaborate with Sales and Operation teams to prepare weekly forecasts.
Assist the finance manager in the budget preparation process.
Accounts Receivable and Payable:
Manage Trade Receivables.
Oversee Local and Foreign Trade Payables.
Financial Management:
Cashbook Management and Bank Reconciliations, including Credit cards.
Foreign Currency Management (Payments, receipts & fluctuations).
Process Intercompany Transactions, including Goods in Transit (GIT).

Financial Reporting:

Summarize the current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Analyze GL variance accounts and adjust costs where necessary.
Responsible for all Balance Sheet Reconciliations on Blackline.
Special Financial Reports:
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Fixed Asset Management:
Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
Handle CAPEX forms, financial depreciation, and Wear and Tear.
Month-end and Year-end Activities:
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Audit Assistance:
Assist during External & Internal Audits.
Budgeting and Controls:
Assist with the Annual Budget process.
Help in maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Team Management:
Plan, assign, and review staff’s work.
Financial Analysis:
Assist with analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.

Qualifications and Experience needed:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3 years experience as an Accountant
