Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities :

Requesting and negotiating of freight rates from various shipping lines
Processing estimates for clients
Liaising with
Customers
Depots
Coldstores
Customs
Transnet etc
Arranging of PPECB and State Vet inspections
Apply for hazardous acceptance
Processing and submitting of HAZ PD
Processing of CTO
Updating stack list
Sending booking confirmations to clients
Processing of customs documents ( SAD500, SAD554 etc)
Processing of road manifests
Processing of shipping orders
Updating containers on Navis/ shipping line website
Processing of bills and SI’s according to the clients requirements
Able to work on Intra
Processing of cargo due/ shipping orders
processing of EUR1, Form A, Coo, SADC, BSC, ECTN, CNCA, EFTA, Phyto certificates etc
Processing of insurance certificates
Processing documents for letter of credit shipments
Booking customs inspection if required
Courier of documents for L/C purposes and general
Monitoring of road over- border loads
Tracking of shipments and liaising with agents regarding deliveries
Invoicing
Reconciliation of creditors and agents invoices
Handling client and account queries
General Ledger reconciliation
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
Freight qualification is advantageous
Shipshape or similar knowledge
3 years industry experience
Hazardous experience
Excellent communication skills
Able to handle and work under pressure
Excellent customer service
Organised and able to work to deadlines
