Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime
Repair and replace faulty parts as needed
Collaborate with other departments to implement improvements for machinery efficiency and reliability
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fitter in a food manufacturing environment
Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar field
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary
