Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and regulations.
Investigate and address any compliance violations or issues.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry best practices related to compliance.
Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
Relevant 4 year qualification consisting of Legal and relevant Compliance Certificate
LLB plus certification as a Compliance Professional /CProf (SA) and Admitted Attorney
Member of the Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA)
At least 8 years’ experience in a legal or banking role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
