Job Description

Responsibilities:

– Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to design and manufacture tools and tooling components
– Operate manual and CNC machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment
– Fabricate prototypes and tooling components using various materials such as metals, alloys, and plastics
– Conduct quality control checks to ensure tools meet specifications and tolerances
– Troubleshoot and repair tools as needed
– Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve tooling designs and processes

Requirements

– Certified Toolmaker
– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment
– Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
– Skilled in operating manual and CNC machinery
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in toolmaking
