Duties & Responsibilities

Our client in the financial services industry is looking to hire an Identity Access Management (IAM) Specialist to be based at their Cape Town offices. The incumbent should ideally be somebody with detailed security development and coding skills and also with an Operational support experience. They’re looking for an all-rounder who can adjust and learn new technology but also support the older tech and migrate it to new over time.

What will you be responsible for?

The primary focus area for this post is to configure and maintain the NetIQ based Access and Review software that Sanlam uses to implement role-based access for business roles, role management and role audit.
Develop and enhance security applications to ensure stability and continued high performance, that includes script to configure and automate the role-based provisioning.
Assist in implementing, managing and configuration of environment, platform and application monitoring.
Assisting in the constant investigation and configuration of the Identity systems products to obtain best value for Business.
Participate in continual investigation into best practices, methodologies and tooling for deployment, DevOps, monitoring, release and configuration management and all other relevant disciplines.
Documentation of the aforementioned investigation is compulsory.
Assist Change, Incident, Project and Release Management resources with reporting and provide consultation around runtime and deployment operations. Work with Linux base implementations as well as hardware configured environments.
Ensure that tooling and platform obsolesce is avoided and managed in the form of roadmaps and upgrades.
Facilitate the automation of area’s this person will be involved as the workload is growing and the toolsets is also getting more – key is to automate as much what make sense and use proper rules to ensure it is a clean
and secure implementation.
Administration, maintenance and monitoring of identity management systems, including provisioning, de-provisioning, account monitoring, access reviews and authentication support.
The analysis, design and implementation of the technical requirements of identity and access management (IAM) projects, including automated processes for full user lifecycle management.
On-boards new applications and systems into the IAM framework with application developers and IT administrators.
Compliance and Risk Management monitoring

What will set you up for success?

Application platform, maintenance, implementation, and configuration of the following (or similar):

Role manager, role harvesting, role based provisioning (RBAC)
NetIQ Access Review
Python and Powershell development skills with a focus on Flask
IBM Security software Verify Identity and Access manager (ISIM/Verify Identity)
SQL Database from a development point of view
Understand the concept of integration of web-based services and practical use of APIs, REST and SOAP services.
Understand conceptual makeup of the SDLC and, with regards to the implementation phase, the change in responsibilities based on level of agility.

Exposure to Infrastructure/Application configuration management tooling including the following (or similar):

Experience in DevOps tooling including the following (or similar)
Atlassian JIRA (Issue tracking/work-piece Management)
Understanding of relationships and integration between host, operating system, platform and application layers. Knowledge of integration between application touch-points such as directory services (i.e. LDAP), databases, load balancers and reverse-proxies are also beneficial.

Qualifications

* Grade 12
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar

Experience

* 5 years in the field of Information Technology and Security Products
* 4 years runtime operations support
* 3 years exposure with scripting and development
* 2 years as a basic Linux user
