Duties & Responsibilities
We are currently partnering with a client within the Financial Services industry who has an amazing opportunity for a Lead Data Architect (Cloud Solutions) on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Cape Town, on a Hybrid work set up.
Some of the broad key responsibilities of this position includes:
Strategy and planning
Project related deliverables and tasks
Staff and talent management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant B-degree qualification
8-10 years’ experience in IT systems and analysis
10+ years’ experience with analytical tools and BI tools and visualisation
5+ years’ experience in cloud computing infrastructure (e.g., AWS EC2, Elastic MapReduce, S3, RedShift, Glue, etc.)
Experience in Data Lake and relational databases (RDB)
8-10 years’ experience delivering business capabilities for Financial Services
Deep knowledge of contemporary architectural principles across the data architectural domain
Understanding of enterprise architecture to ensure on-going alignment, driving the technical road map for key applications and platforms
Knowledge of different SDLC Methodologies
