Requirements:

National technical certificate 3 (N3)
Qualified as a maintenance fitter
Previous non-woven experience is essential
Computer literacy will be an advantage
Health and Safety knowledge
Supervisory experience
Driver’s license with own reliable transport
Be able to respond to callouts within 30 minutes
Preferable living within 30 minutes of Atlantis
Available to work overtime at any time within reason
Understanding technical drawings

The main purpose of this position:

To assist in the effective maintenance of all manufacturing facilities with the aim to maximise equipment performance, safety and online time and to report on such improvements required

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in any duty required by immediate superior to ensure effective maintenance of client’s buildings, plants and machinery
Collection and interpretation of technical data to assist with equipment performance and maintenance needs
Required to take considerable care in preventing serious injuries from occurring
Liaise with persons inside and outside the organisation in regards to maintenance of plants, buildings and equipment
Assist in the planning and implementation of preventative and routine maintenance
Assist in the effective monitoring and controlling of all maintenance inventories
To be available to attend to any mechanical breakdown that may occur at any time
Required to work throughout plant shutdown
