Job Description

Responsibilities:

– Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to design and build molds for plastic injection molding processes
– Operate manual and CNC machines to build molds and tooling components
– Troubleshoot and repair molds to ensure consistent quality and performance
– Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize mold designs for production efficiency
– Perform regular maintenance on molds to extend their lifespan and prevent downtime
– Document all mold maintenance and repair activities for record-keeping and future reference
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in all mold-related work

Requirements:

– Trade qualification in Toolmaking or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic mold-making
– Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic industry
– Proven experience as a Toolmaker with a focus on plastic materials
– Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines for mold-making
– Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes and tooling requirements
– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Attention to detail and commitment to quality
– Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
