Laboratory Reporting Specialist – Brits

Duties & Responsibilities :

Responsibilities:

– Overall responsible for review of result quality as well as sending of laboratory reports. This will be mainly for leaves, organic material, and water.

– Retrieve, prepare and organize laboratory data efficiently for review and reporting.

– Proactively monitor that results do not take longer than agreed and take corrective action to ensure that turnaround times are met.

– Responsible for all technical communication with clients, including non- routine requests.

– Interact with clients through various channels (email, phone, visits and at trade shows).

– Responsible for relationship management of clients and act as a liaison between laboratory and client to ensure client expectations are met and addressed effectively

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

– A minimum of 3 years previous experience in an agricultural and/or food sector laboratory.

– Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., agronomy, plant, or soil science).

– BASOS certification will be advantageous.

– Must be / become Technical Signatory, approved by SANAS (ISO 17025).

– Proven statistical capabilities and Excel proficiency.
