Global Sourcing Officer

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities :

Key performance areas:

To understand the specific products that are sourced
Correct foods product /range sourcing, at the right time
Ensure the sourcing of correct produce at the right time
Profitable product location
Ascertain which products are in short supply in the local market
Providing data and administrative support that contributes to sales growth
Providing article/site specific data, insights and administrative support for decision making re: the article range, stock and price point
Work closely with Data Analyst to dissect information and provide appropriate support to buying team

Package & Remuneration

The successful candidate must have:

Matric with a degree in Commercial/ Data Analytics/ Supply Chain or relevant tertiary qualification
At least 1-2 years relevant working experience in the Food Retail or similar environment
Must have experience working in a data function role / working with data analytics or similar experience would be advantageous.
Must have an understanding of Corporate and Food Retail orientated-environments.
Computer literate – (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP)
Must be accurate and give great attention to detail
Must be organised and able to deal with large quantities of data
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Must be analytical and ability to use initiative
Strong problem-solving skills
